George Margonis

George Margonis started his career in big companies in Greece in the areas of communications, marketing & sales. In 2001 he joined Papastratos – a company of Philip Morris International, where he grew and developed further, undertaking diverse sales, marketing, consumer engagement and research assignments. In 2009, George joined PMI HQ in Switzerland to lead Sales Strategies for EU region. He returned to his home country to lead Sales and took management of Cyprus & Malta business as well.

In 2016 he became General Manager of Philip Morris Bulgaria in Sofia. Since then he has been also an active member of the local business community (AmCham, Greek-Bulgarian Business Chamber, Bulgarian Leaders Association), and has appeared as speaker in various business forums, seminars, conferences and media events.
