Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policies and Minister of Environment and Water
Borislav Sandov has a master’s degree in geography from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” with specialization in “Climate Change and Water Management” matters. He was actively involved in all public campaigns for nature conservation in the past 15 years. He was Deputy Chair of the Students’ Council at the Sofia University. Borislav Sandov is national coordinator for The Save the Bees European Citizens Initiative.
Borislav Sandov is e prominent environmentalist working as an expert on sustainable development and climate mitigation in leading NGOs. He has longstanding experience as an organizer of and spokesperson for campaigns advocating environment protection and green economy transition. He is a co-chair of the Green Movement and a member of the Democratic Bulgaria Conference of the Presidents. He was the Chair of the Standing Parliamentary Environment and Water Committee in the 46th National Assembly.
