Assen Christov

Assen Christov is one of the main shareholders and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eurohold Bulgaria AD, a leading energy and financial group operating in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CESEE) and publicly listed on the Bulgarian and Warsaw Stock Exchange. Eurohold is a majority shareholder of Electrohold which owns the biggest power distributor, supplier and trader in Bulgaria, has 3000 employees and serves more than 3 million consumers. It also owns Euroins Insurance Group AD (EIG), one of the largest independent insurance groups in the CESEE region that has over 3000 employees and over 4 million customers in 12 countries. Assen Christov has earned a master’s degree in Physics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and has also passed a specialization study in the Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubno, Russia. He also holds a Management Degree from the Open University – London, UK. He is fluent in Russian and English. Assen Christov is Vice President of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation.
