Radoslav Rizov is Director General and Head of Managing Authority of the General Directorate "European Funds for Competitiveness", Ministry of Innovation and Growth. The Directorate is the managing authority of Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021-2027, the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation”” 2021-2027, as well as the Monitoring and Reporting Structure for several investments within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of Bulgaria. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of European projects and programmes. Guest lecturer and PhD at the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Master of Laws. He has been part of Microsoft, where he developed the company's strategy regarding European funds in the Central and Eastern Europe region. In the last three years, he was a director in a private company where he worked on the programs Horizon Europe, European Defense Fund, etc. framework programs of the European Commission. Developed and took part in the first Bulgarian project financed under the Urban Innovative Actions program - INNOAIR. The project created the first on-demand green public transport, green corridors, low-emission zones and a congestion charge concept on the territory of Sofia Municipality. The total value of the project is a slightly under 5M EUR, with the participation of the Sofia Municipality, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", "Paisiy Hilendarski" University of Plovdiv, Sofia Development Association, Center for Urban Mobility, National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, Modeshift Europe, National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.
