Odile Renaud-Basso
President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
Odile Renaud-Basso became the first woman to lead the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) when she assumed the presidency in November 2020. In 2024, she was re-elected for a second term by the Bank's Board of Governors.
Prior to joining the EBRD, Renaud-Basso served as Director General of the French Treasury, overseeing France's economic policy development, including European and international financial affairs, trade policy, financial regulation, and debt management. She also held positions as Chair of the Paris Club and Vice-President of the European Union's Economic and Financial Committee.
Renaud-Basso is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA). She also completed a management program at Harvard University.
