Naurozbayeva Zhanar PhD, is head of the laboratory “Regional Climate Change” of JSC “Institute of Geography and Water Security”, senior lecturer of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. Author of more than 60 scientific papers, methodology of short-term forecast of ice thickness growth in the Caspian Sea.
Has a good experience in research activities, in the study of climatic changes, modeling under climatic scenarios, ice regime of the Caspian Sea, study of dangerous meteorological phenomena. She has contributed to the study of thermal and ice regimes of the Caspian Sea under conditions of climatic changes, calculated future temperature background and its impact on ice thickness.
She is one of the founders and a member of the Women's Network of Water Diplomacy of Central Asia.
