Climate Leader International Expert in Climate Change Law and Policy, Climate Diplomacy and ESG University specialization in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy - Climate Diplomacy Ambassador of EU Climate Pact (2020-2024) President of International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) Mrs. Pujo Tadić is an attorney at law, and for over twenty-five years her field of practice has been dealing with environmental issues, and in the last fifteen years with the issues of climate change law and climate policy through a variety of institutions. She is very familiar with the work of all national and international institutions and processes involved in the issue of climate change. Mrs. Pujo Tadić has graduated from the Zagreb Law University in Croatia, and she was appointed as a judge at the Magistrates Court, and after a long tenure as a judge, during which she tried a number of cases regarding environmental pollution and violations, she has decided to specialize in environmental law. In 2009, mrs. Pujo Tadić was employed by the Environmental Protection Fund, where she ran the organizational and personnel sections of the fund as well as worked on the development of projects. In 2010, mrs. Pujo Tadić opened her own, independent law office that mostly concentrates on cases that are subject to environmental law as well as projects that are part of environmental law and energy.In June 2013, under the mentorship of Mr. Al Gore and as a part of The Climate Reality Project, she accomplished and acquired the title of Climate Leader—an expert in climate change. Furthermore, regarding her excellent communication skills and networking between the economic sector and private-public projects, she was leading the Committee for Environmental Protection, first as President and then as a Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) (the Board of Directors) with supervision over the work of the Environmental Committee. In 2018, mrs. Pujo Tadić became a member of the Task Force on "Arbitration of Climate Change Related Disputes" in the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (ICC Paris) and Vice President of the Environmental Commission in the ICCC. She is a member of various committees in the areas of climate change at the Ministry of Environmental and Energy of the Republic of Croatia and a member of the official negotiating team and delegation of the Republic of Croatia on the negotiations to the Paris Agreement in Paris (COP21), Katowice (COP24), and Madrid (COP25), Glasgow (COP26), Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt (COP27) and Dubai UAE- (COP28). She also holds lectures in the areas of climate change rights and policy, so she is engaged as a tutor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia as well as on a series of world conferences and summits in China and elsewhere in the world. In 2019, she finished her university specialization in foreign affairs and policy at the University of Political Science at the University of Zagreb—Climate Diplomacy. Many years ago, mrs. Pujo Tadić recognized the importance of reducing CO2 emissions and decided, eleven years ago, to establish the Croatian Association for Carbon Footprint Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (HU-CO2), and through this platform, she gained a lot of experience in communication with the public, government, business sector, and the media. HU-CO2 (which in 2017 changed its name to the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) is strategically positioned in a way that brings together all experts in the Republic of Croatia in the area of climate change, and with such quality, (IICA) is one of the key factors in climate change and CO2 issues in Croatia, which is also recognized by the Government and Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy. In 2019, she completed the specialist study of Foreign Policy and Diplomacy on the topic of climate diplomacy at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb. In 2020 (6 months), as an international expert in climate change law and policy, she took on a very challenging role by coordinating the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EUs Climate Change Team (three working groups: outreach, diplomacy, and task force, as well as IG Lex). In June 2020, she was invited to become a member of the Croatian Diplomatic Club! Between January 2020 and August 2021 she was a Board member of International Association for Sustainable Economy (IASE) from London, and started educating the Croatian business community about ESG. (IICA-ESG). In June 2020, the European Commission appointed her the Ambassador of the EU Climate Pact, as well as in 2023. In July 2022, the Croatian Bar Association recognized her specialization in Environmental Law - the first such specialization in the Republic of Croatia.
