Klára Dobrev

Member of the European Parliament, Member of the Committee on Regional Development (REGI)

Klára Dobrev is a Hungarian politician from the Democratic Coalition (DK) and has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since July 2, 2019. She is part of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.  Dobrev is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (REGI), where she focuses on issues related to cohesion policy and regional development within the European Union.  Born on February 2, 1972, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Dobrev has Hungarian-Bulgarian heritage. She holds degrees in economics from the Budapest University of Economics and in law from Eötvös Loránd University.  Prior to her tenure in the European Parliament, Dobrev held various positions in the Hungarian administration, including Deputy State Secretary for European Affairs and Vice President of the Office for the National Development Plan and EU Support.
