Ivan Hinovsky

Mechanical Engineer, Senior Research Fellow, with more than 40 years of experience in research, design and construction of energy facilities. He has undergone long-term specializations in the field of energy and energy project management in Italy, France, IAEA-Vienna, Japan, USA and Canada. He has worked on contracts abroad in Italy (ENEA project) and Belgium (Westinghouse Kozloduy NPP project). Participated in international missions as IAEA-Vienna expert in Brazil, Iran and Turkey. Career milestones: 1974-1983: Member of the commissioning committee of Kozloduy NPP, units 1-4; 1975-1992: Research assistant and head of department at Energoproekt; 1993-1996: Director at Energoproekt; 1995-1997: Project Manager of the EBRD 23 million euro grant line for the modernization of Kozloduy NPP Units 1-4; 1996-1997: Lecturer at TU-Sofia, specialization "Safety and Operation of NPP with VVER"; 1995-1998- Project-manager of the modernization project of units 5 and 6 at Kozloduy NPP; 1997-1998: Executive Director of NEK; 2000-2001: Deputy Chairman of the NPP Kozloduy Management Board; 2003-2006: Chief Energy Expert of the 40th and 41st National Assembly 2020-2021: Member of the 45th and 46th National Assembly and Chairman of the Energy Committee of the 46th National Assembly.
