Ioannis Bratakos
President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, tbc
Ioannis Bratakos was born in Athens in 1968. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering & Management and a Master's degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics & Political Science. In 1999, he co-founded DD Synergy, a company offering software and hardware solutions, where he serves as Managing Director. He has been actively involved in SAP software services from 1995 to 2022.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2006. In December 2017, he was elected as the Chamber’s Vice President, overseeing innovation, new technologies, investments, and the domestic start-up ecosystem. In February 2021, he joined the Strategic Advisory Committee for the Postgraduate Studies in Services Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business.
In September 2021, he was elected President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In November 2021, he became Chairman of the Athens Association of Entrepreneurial Development, and in August 2022, he was appointed Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, serving as the Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office until March 2024. In December 2024, he was reelected President of the Chamber.
