H.E. Mehmet Sait Uyanık
Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Bulgaria
His Excellency Mehmet Sait Uyanık is a distinguished Turkish diplomat with over 20 years of experience in international diplomacy and foreign policy. Appointed as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bulgaria in 2024, he has held numerous high-level positions across key departments in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Head of the Minister’s Cabinet, Consul General in Geneva, and Adviser to the Permanent Mission of Türkiye to the United Nations in Geneva.
Ambassador Uyanık was born in Istanbul in 1976. He graduated from the Lycée Pierre Loti in Istanbul, earned his Law degree from the University of Robert Schuman (Strasbourg, France), and holds a Master's degree from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
His diplomatic career spans postings at the Turkish Permanent Representation to the European Union, the Embassy of Türkiye in Algeria, and strategic leadership roles related to maritime affairs and European diplomacy. He has demonstrated strong expertise in international negotiations, public diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation, particularly in EU and UN frameworks.
Fluent in French and English, Ambassador Uyanık is married and the father of two children.
