Ditte Juul Jørgensen

Director-General of the Directorate "Energy" (ENER) at the European Commission

In her current position, she leads the work to ensure affordable, secure and sustainable energy in Europe as part of the energy transition towards climate neutrality. Dite Juul Jørgensen has more than 30 years of experience at the European Commission, leading policy development, international negotiations and enforcement in the areas of international trade, competition, sustainable development, climate and energy. Dite Juul Jørgensen also worked as an economic advisor at the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations in New York. In addition to her work at the European Commission, Dite Juul Jørgensen teaches at universities to share her practical knowledge of energy and trade policy. Dite Juul Jørgensen graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
