Dimitar Savov

Dimitar Savov holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering of Structures from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia, as well as a Master's degree in Transport from Imperial College, London. His professional career began in 1993 as an expert in the harmonization of Bulgarian standards for building structures at the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction. Between 1997 and 2005 he successively held the posts of Combined Transport Expert, Head of Investment Policy and Head of Strategic Development of Rail and Road Transport at the Department for Transport. Since 2005 Dimitar Savov has been Director of the National Transport Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications. Over the years Savov has established himself as a leading expert in the field of transport policy and strategic development of transport infrastructure in Bulgaria. His work contributes significantly to the modernisation and integration of the Bulgarian transport system in line with European standards. With his knowledge and experience, he plays a key role in the development of transport projects of strategic importance for the country.
