Daniel Krištof, PhD

Director General, Labour Office of the Czech Republic

Daniel Krištof is a Czech executive and organisational psychologist with over 20 years of experience in strategic transformation, leadership development, and corporate consultancy. Since September 2023, he has served as Director General of the Czech Republic’s Labour Office (Úřad práce ČR). He holds a Master’s and PhD in Work and Organisational Psychology from Charles University in Prague. He has also completed accredited training in psychotherapy and crisis intervention, further enriching his human-centred leadership approach. Krištof began his career as a trainer and HR development consultant, before moving into leadership roles in renowned organisations. He worked at Deloitte Advisory between 2003–2008 and again from 2012–2017, where he led large-scale transformation projects for major corporations. He later held top management roles at Direct pojišťovna, Česká spořitelna, and ČEZ Prodej, where he headed the ČEZ Academy, an initiative supporting energy-saving education in collaboration with leading Czech experts. Combining private sector expertise with deep insight into human capital and organisational behaviour, Krištof brings a balanced and progressive vision to public service. In 2023, he was appointed Director General of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic, officially assuming the role on 1 September 2023 after winning a competitive selection process.
