Alexander Georgiev

Alexander Georgiev is an Executive Director and Chair of the Management Board of the Fund of Funds. He has extensive and in-depth work experience gained in expert and managerial positions with professional acumen on insurance and finance. Since 2015, he has been working on the implementation of financial instruments aimed at private companies development, using resources from both the European Structural and Investment Funds and the national budget. From 2018 to 2021, he held the position of Executive Director of the Fund of Funds. Between 2021 and 2025, he worked as a financial consultant for private companies with focus on financial and investment analyses, with a strong advising role during the process of fund application. He has been a member of the Board of Directors and Authorised Officer of the National Guarantee Fund EAD, where he participated in the development and implementation of individual and portfolio guarantees granting SMEs access to European and national funding. He has participated in the Advisory Committees on the implementation of financial instruments under the Rural Development Programme and the Operational Programme for the Development of the Fisheries Sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Industrial Management from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov.
