Agnieszka Romanowicz

Agnieszka Romanowicz serves as the Deputy Head of Unit for LIFE Energy + LIFE Climate at the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), under the European Commission. In this role, she oversees the strategic management and implementation of the LIFE Programme’s sub-programmes focusing on energy transition, sustainable agriculture, soil health, and climate adaptation. With over 15 years of experience in EU institutions, Romanowicz has been actively involved in shaping and executing policies related to the European Green Deal, including initiatives like Fit for 55 and the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). She is a frequent speaker at conferences dedicated to sustainable agriculture, circular economy, and soil health, such as the EU Soil Day and LIFE VIIEW 2050 events. Romanowicz emphasizes the importance of EU co-funded innovative solutions in achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and advocates for the active involvement of citizens and businesses in this transition.
